SUMMARY:Apple Harvest
DESCRIPTION:Blossoms of spring lead in to busy picking time. Picking is done by hand using ladder and picking bags. From there\, they’re collected into wooden containers. When filled\, the containers are towed by tractor to a coolstore\, where a controlled atmosphere keeps our apples fresh and crisp for great eating. \nKeep an eye out for orchard vehicles on the local roads. Ask for new season fruit at your local fruiterer. \nWhere and when to buy Harcourt apples? \nNew season apples are available about the time of Harcourt Applefest\, in March of each year. \nAround Harcourt\, roadside shops get their apple supplies straight from the orchards.\nAt the Melbourne Wholesale Market\, our apples are available all year round.

DESCRIPTION:Let’s get together at the Goldfields Track Cafe to celebrate a grand year.  \nThere is much to be proud of: improved town centre landscaping; another successful Applefest; another fun Easter Egg Hunt; an upgrade to the town entrance; the restoration of the Harcourt railway station; and progress towards a Community Playground. All that and we’re also excited to support the miniature railway park and the long awaited Mountain Bike Park.  \nThis is a social get together with drinks at bar prices from 6pm.  \nIn the the midst of the fun\, the Harcourt Progress Association will host a quick AGM at 7pm. During the AGM\, the HPA will report on activity and priorities\, and elect/re-elect members of the Steering Committee to guide the group in 2018.
